Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to accurately evaluate client needs and challenges, particularly focusing on geriatric populations.

• Develop and execute personalized treatment plans that consider the cognitive, emotional, and physical health needs of each client.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual and family therapy, addressing mental health issues prevalent in older adults.

• Work alongside geriatric psychiatrists and healthcare professionals to provide a holistic treatment experience, ensuring continuity and integration in care.

• Educate clients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and local resources that can aid in their recovery and management.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on supporting older adult clients who may be dealing with a range of mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, and cognitive disorders. Your expertise will be critical in fostering an environment of trust and empathy, allowing clients and their families to feel safe in discussing sensitive topics affecting their mental wellbeing.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as either an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.

• Strong familiarity with the complexities of geriatric mental health and the effectiveness of various treatment modalities.

• Outstanding communication skills, demonstrating empathy and a patient-centered approach in all interactions with clients and their families.

• A proven ability to build rapport and establish trust with elderly patients, understanding their unique needs and experiences.

Preferred Experience\n

Though a minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, candidates with specialized training in geriatric mental health or experience working with older adults are highly encouraged to apply. Compensation and Benefits\n
