Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions tailored to the specific developmental needs of students.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students’ mental health issues, integrating evidence-based practices in treatment planning.

• Develop and implement integrated care plans, working closely with families, educators, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated support.

• Stay abreast of best practices in mental health services and utilize appropriate screening tools to monitor students’ academic and emotional well-being.

• Engage in crisis intervention and resolution, providing timely and effective support to students in distress.

• Document all clinical encounters and treatment progress in accordance with organizational standards and compliance regulations.

• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to contribute insights regarding student progress and program effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on students in the Virginia Beach area who experience symptoms of major mental illnesses and severe emotional disorders. You will work to foster a trusting therapeutic relationship that encourages open communication and actively supports their journey towards recovery and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or a related field is required.

• Must hold a valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in Virginia.

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in clinical social work, preferably in a school or educational environment.
