About the Position

Job Opportunity – Medical-Surgical / Telemetry Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: November 30, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 36 hours per week, day/night rotation (rotating schedule every 4 weeks), weekdays and some weekends (3-4 weekend days per month), 4:1 patient ratio across all shifts

Highlights:

• Medical-Surgical and Telemetry mixed unit with transitional PCU beds (PCU experience not required)
• Rotating shift assignment: same shifts for 4 weeks, then rotate to opposite shift for the next 4 weeks
• Diverse patient population including general medical issues, organ failure, substance withdrawal, and behavioral health cases
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including PT, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• 36-hour orientation provided; floating within the organization required
• First-time travelers welcome with at least 1 year of RN experience

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical and/or Telemetry nursing experience
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Two professional references required: at least one from a manager, director, or supervisor; charge RN acceptable for second reference
• Skills required: IV management, PICC line care, chest tubes, isolation precautions, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, oxygen administration, and rapid response team utilization
• Ability and willingness to complete urgent Ohio fingerprinting requirements immediately upon contract signing
