Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health status through in-depth interviews and standardized assessments.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that integrate various therapeutic modalities, monitor progress, and adjust strategies as necessary.

• Facilitate regular therapy sessions, offering both individual and group therapy to use a variety of approaches tailored to each patient's unique background and needs.

• Provide crisis intervention and support when necessary, ensuring clients feel safe and heard during challenging situations.

• Encourage and empower clients by equipping them with practical coping strategies, resources, and referrals to other healthcare professionals such as psychiatrists when warranted.

• Document all client interactions and progress in our EHR system promptly, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical guidelines.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal Counsellor will work with a diverse population, including individuals facing challenges such as substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, and eating disorders. You will engage with clients from various cultural backgrounds, necessitating an understanding of socio-cultural factors that influence mental health.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid license as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.
\n
• A minimum of two years of related mental health counseling experience.
\n
• A strong knowledge of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation for this role ranges from $115,000 to $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
