Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide individual and group therapy sessions addressing the psychological and social factors affecting students’ mental well-being.

• Conduct comprehensive interviews to gather detailed assessments of clients, exploring their backgrounds, current situations, and needs.
\n
• Evaluate and diagnose behavioral health issues and develop personalized treatment plans to facilitate effective outcomes.
\n
• Coordinate and implement programs aimed at improving students' emotional and social skills in collaboration with school personnel and parents.
\n
• Establish trusting relationships with students and families, ensuring an environment of mutual respect and confidentiality.

• Utilize evidence-based practices to approach counseling with a focus on cognitive, emotional, and behavioral health.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, assessments, and progress in compliance with established protocols.

• Respond to short-term crises by offering immediate support and connecting clients to community resources for additional assistance.

• Participate actively in professional development and team meetings to enhance service delivery and client outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with adolescents and their families, addressing a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, behavioral disturbances, and family conflicts. You will facilitate sessions that are sensitive to the diverse cultural backgrounds and experiences of students, fostering inclusivity and understanding tailored to individual needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.

• Must hold an active Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in the state of Virginia.

• Ability to actively engage students and families in a manner that is supportive and responsive to their needs.

• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with students, families, and other stakeholders.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of four years of direct clinical experience in a behavioral health setting is preferred.

• Experience working within a school environment and with youth populations is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits\n
