Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews to understand clients' mental health history and current emotional state, documenting findings comprehensively from the onset of treatment to completion.

• Evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health through clinical assessments, instrumentation, and direct observation.

• Develop tailored intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, aligning strategies with clinical standards and client needs.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based modalities to foster dynamic discussions and therapeutic change.

• Monitor client progress diligently throughout the treatment plan, making necessary adjustments based on evolving needs and assessment outcomes.

• Collaborate closely with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and healthcare providers, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care.

• Follow up with medical practitioners regarding clients admitted to hospitals, ensuring continuity of care and comprehensive communication.

• Provide support to family members and primary caregivers, helping them to understand and manage the mental and behavioral health challenges faced by their loved ones.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated previous experience as a mental health counselor, providing quality care and interventions in a clinical setting.

• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, is preferred to streamline documentation and client management processes.
