Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and interviews to understand clients' needs and develop tailored treatment plans that target their specific challenges.

• Create and implement therapeutic interventions for individuals, couples, families, and groups, adjusting approaches based on client progress and feedback.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, incorporating evidence-based practices to foster personal growth and resilience.
\n
• Monitor and document client progress meticulously from initial consultation through the end of treatment, ensuring all cases are accurately recorded for optimal continuity of care.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including therapists, psychiatrists, and social workers, to develop and refine intervention strategies.

• Stay proactive in following up with external healthcare teams for clients requiring hospitalization or additional specialized care.
\n
• Offer guidance and support to family members and primary caregivers to assist them in managing their loved ones’ mental health challenges effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will directly impact a diverse population, including children, adolescents, adults, and families navigating various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction disorders. You will play a pivotal role in helping clients achieve their therapeutic goals, fostering improved mental well-being and overall life satisfaction.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Demonstrated ability to build therapeutic relationships and engage effectively with clients of varying backgrounds.
\n
• Proficient in utilizing electronic health record systems (EHR) such as AVATAR.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience in a clinical setting as a mental health counselor with a solid understanding of therapeutic techniques and recovery planning.

• Knowledge of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and relevant clinical guidelines.

• Experience working with co-occurring disorders and an understanding of the impact of medication therapy on mental health.
\n
• Strong interpersonal skills complemented by exceptional written and verbal communication capabilities.
