Key Responsibilities\n

• Perform initial mental health assessments through detailed client interviews and documentation to understand each client's unique needs from the onset.

• Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health to diagnose issues accurately and develop effective treatment strategies.

• Create tailored intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups based on thorough assessments.
\n
• Conduct regular individual and group therapy sessions to facilitate healing and recovery processes.
\n
• Monitor and assess client progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure the best outcomes.

• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to ensure holistic care for clients.

• Provide ongoing support and guidance to family members to help them address mental and behavioral health challenges within their loved ones.

• Remain informed about the latest advancements in psychotherapy and integrate evidence-based practices into your work.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our practice is committed to serving a diverse client population, encompassing individuals from various backgrounds, ages, and mental health challenges. You will engage with clients dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction issues, and other mental health disorders. By utilizing a strengths-based approach, you will empower clients to achieve their personal goals and foster a positive change.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on empathetic listening and clinical insight.

Preferred Experience\n

• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor, particularly in an outpatient setting.

• Experience with electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, to facilitate efficient documentation and care.
\n
• Knowledge of best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Familiarity with treatment protocols for co-occurring disorders and the effects of commonly prescribed medications.

Compensation and Benefits\n
