Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial consultations with clients, documenting their mental health history and needs in detail.

• Assess and evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health through standardized tools and clinical interviews.

• Design comprehensive intervention and recovery plans tailored to the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that promote personal reflections and growth.

• Continuously monitor clients’ progress in accordance with their treatment plans, adjusting therapeutic strategies as needed.

• Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, doctors, and social workers, to ensure holistic care.

• Follow up with clients and relevant healthcare providers during hospitalizations to maintain continuity of care.
\n
• Identify potential barriers to recovery and implement strategies to assist clients in overcoming these challenges.

• Support families and primary caregivers by providing resources and strategies to manage associated mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role involves working with a diverse client base, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and other mental health disorders. As a mental health counselor at Timeless Counseling Center, you will engage with clients from various backgrounds and age groups, ensuring that all care is sensitive and tailored to their unique backgrounds and experiences. The remote work setting enhances accessibility, affording care to clients who may otherwise face barriers to traditional in-person counseling.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Exam (NCE) and/or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proven experience as a mental health counselor with a solid understanding of various therapeutic modalities.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, preferably AVATAR, to manage client documentation effectively.
\n
• Knowledge of co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions, including addiction disorders.
\n
• Understanding of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills that facilitate clear and compassionate interactions with clients and colleagues.

• Strong interpersonal skills characterized by empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working within a remote counseling model, demonstrating adaptability to telehealth best practices.

• Specialized training in evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), etc.

• Familiarity with the impact of medication prescribed by healthcare providers and the ability to integrate this knowledge into the treatment process.

Compensation and Benefits\n
