Work Environment\n

This position will allow you to work from the comfort of your own home in a fully remote setting while maintaining a presence in our outpatient office when necessary. Our standard working hours are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the possibility of adjusting your schedule to best serve our clients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the family therapy needs of clients and their relatives.

• Actively participate in clinical staffing meetings, contributing insights based on family-centered treatment methodologies to shape effective service and treatment plans.

• Facilitate family-centered individual and group counseling sessions, as well as joint therapy (when appropriate), while working collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals.

• Develop and lead educational groups addressing substance abuse, mental health issues, and family dynamics to enhance client understanding and coping strategies.

• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation, including progress notes, patient assessments, and service plans, to ensure compliance with organizational standards.

• Engage with other healthcare professionals and community agencies as necessary to coordinate comprehensive client care.

• Identify opportunities for program improvement, utilizing quality improvement tools to enhance overall service delivery.

• Stay current with best practices in the field by maintaining necessary certifications and pursuing continued education.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Austin Trauma Therapy Clinic, you will primarily work with adults affected by substance use disorders, as well as their families. You will develop tailored treatment plans that address not only the individual’s recovery needs but also incorporate the dynamics and challenges faced by the family unit. Your expertise in family therapy will be instrumental in helping clients reclaim their lives and rebuild supportive relationships.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.

• Must possess active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia.

• Specialization or demonstrable experience in family therapy, couples therapy, substance misuse, or trauma is highly preferred.

• Salary range of USD 90,000 – 105,000 per year, commensurate with experience and availability of caseload.
