Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Tri Flexsi, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients suffering from orthopedic conditions, identifying their specific limitations and impairments.
• Develop and implement targeted treatment plans that encompass therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and patient education to facilitate recovery.
• Maintain meticulous records of patient interactions and progress, ensuring compliance with documentation standards to communicate effectively within the interdisciplinary treatment team.
• Engage in patient consultations and collaborative discussions with healthcare providers, sharing insights on best practices for achieving optimal patient outcomes.
• Actively participate in community outreach initiatives to promote health awareness and educate the public about pain management strategies.
• Attend and contribute to staff meetings, sharing knowledge and learning opportunities to enhance overall service delivery.
• Supervise and mentor support staff, including Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) and students, fostering their professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will involve a diverse patient population, including athletes recovering from injuries, individuals with chronic pain conditions, and geriatric patients seeking improved mobility. You will be expected to provide culturally competent care, recognizing and respecting the unique backgrounds of each patient.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure to practice physical therapy in the state of Virginia.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with a commitment to maintaining current credentials.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, that facilitate effective interactions with patients and team members.
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and common office software.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, experience in orthopedic rehabilitation, sports therapy, or pain management will be advantageous. Familiarity with specialized treatment modalities and assessment tools relevant to orthopedic conditions will also be considered a strong asset.

Compensation and Benefits
