The role of Orthopedic Physical Therapist entails working within the patient's home setting, enabling a comfortable and familiar space for rehabilitation. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans for each patient referred by physicians.
• Administer manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercises that align with patients' diagnosis and physician's recommendations.
• Utilize advanced modalities, such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation, to facilitate recovery and pain management.
• Engage regularly with multidisciplinary teams to optimize treatment efficacy, sharing insights and adjusting methodologies as necessary.
• Educate and support patients and caregivers in understanding their injury, rehabilitation process, and exercise regimens to boost compliance and recovery rates.
• Monitor and document progress meticulously, ensuring that treatment outcomes meet clinical goals and expectations.
• Maintain high standards of customer service throughout interactions, fostering long-term relationships built on trust and hope for recovery.
• Meet organizational goals for productivity and patient satisfaction.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The successful candidate will treat a diverse client base, primarily consisting of individuals needing orthopedic rehabilitation. This includes patients recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and various musculoskeletal issues. The role requires compassion, flexibility, and a tailored approach to meet the unique needs of each patient, including collaborating with children and the elderly.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required for this role, ensuring that clinical knowledge is paired with practical experience.
• A valid State License in Physical Therapy is necessary to practice legally within Virginia.
• Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association is required to ensure safety during interventions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, facilitating effective dialogue with patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers.
• Competency in computer systems related to patient management, progress tracking, and scheduling.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience in the field of physical therapy, with a focus on outpatient orthopedic settings.

Compensation and Benefits
