Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews with clients to gather pertinent information from initial consultations through to the conclusion of their treatment journey.

• Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health to create tailored, effective treatment plans that address both symptoms and underlying issues.
\n
• Develop and implement appropriate intervention strategies, facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions to promote healing and growth.
\n
• Monitor client progress, providing adjustments to treatment plans as needed based on ongoing assessments and client feedback.
\n
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, nurses, and other mental health specialists to formulate comprehensive intervention plans that encompass all aspects of a client's health.

• Engage in follow-ups with hospital staff for clients who have been admitted, ensuring continuity of care and tracking mental health developments.
\n
• Identify and mitigate behaviors that may hinder recovery, working closely with clients and their support systems.
\n
• Educate and assist family members and primary caregivers in managing the mental and behavioral challenges presented by clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with diverse client demographics through telehealth technology. This includes individual adults, couples seeking relationship counseling, families in distress, and various groups needing support for specific mental health issues. Your expertise will be vital in addressing a range of mental health conditions, emotional disturbances, and behavioral challenges.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Georgia.

• Passage of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Proven experience working as a mental health counselor, demonstrating a profound understanding of diverse therapeutic modalities.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, is highly desirable.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience managing clients with co-occurring disorders, including both mental health and substance use challenges.

• Knowledge of current best practices as recommended by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Insight into the effects of medications prescribed by medical specialists, and understanding their implications on mental health recovery.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, complemented by strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications, along with a sign-on bonus.
