Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and develop comprehensive treatment plans that address individual needs and goals of students.

• Implement evidence-informed therapeutic interventions, including solution-focused therapy, cognitive behavioral strategies, and trauma-informed care to support student well-being.

• Document clinical progress with precision, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with state regulations and organizational policies.
\n
• Collaborate closely with educators, school staff, and fellow mental health professionals to create holistic treatment strategies and provide cohesive support.

• Educate students and families about mental health issues, providing resources and coping strategies to help navigate challenges.
\n
• Stay informed on the latest in mental health research, best practices, and trends to continually enhance therapeutic approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily focuses on students facing a variety of mental health challenges including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, and trauma-related issues. By fostering a nurturing and understanding approach, our LCSWs provide a safe space for students to explore their feelings, gain insight, and develop coping mechanisms necessary for their academic and personal growth.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
\n
• A valid LCSW license in the state of Kansas.
\n
• A minimum of two years’ clinical experience in a mental health or social work setting.
\n
• Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic interventions, particularly those focused on solutions and trauma recovery.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, families, and colleagues.

• Demonstrated ability to think critically and solve problems effectively in a clinical context.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working within school settings or with adolescent clients is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems for documenting clinical notes.
