Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth, culturally sensitive mental health assessments to capture clients' unique backgrounds and mental health needs, leading to tailored treatment plans.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy, while considering the individual cultural contexts of each client.
\n
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, creating a safe space for clients to express their thoughts and feelings, fostering resilience and well-being.

• Coordinate care with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to ensure clients receive comprehensive treatment and support.
\n
• Respond to mental health crises and provide immediate, effective interventions to ensure client safety and well-being.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources that can aid the recovery process.
\n
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation of client interactions and treatment processes, adhering to ethical and legal requirements.
\n
• Participate actively in team meetings and case conferences to discuss client progress and enhance mutual learning through cultural competency training.

• Stay updated on current research and best practices in mental health therapy to provide the highest standard of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on serving a multifaceted client base that includes individuals from ethnic and cultural minorities and the LGBTQ+ community. You will also provide support for immigrant populations who may face distinct challenges related to cultural adjustment, trauma, and identity. By delivering care that is responsive to their backgrounds, you will improve their mental well-being and overall life satisfaction.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Must possess a current and valid license as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois.
\n
• A thorough understanding of various mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment methodologies, including cultural sensitivity in therapeutic practices.

• Experience working with diverse populations through individual and group therapy is highly desirable.
\n
• Strong crisis intervention skills and the ability to remain composed and effective in challenging situations.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills that enable rapport-building with a wide range of clients.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant digital tools to manage patient documentation efficiently.

• A deep commitment to professional ethics, confidentiality, and maintaining professional boundaries.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
