Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual counseling sessions via video conferencing platforms, utilizing tools such as Zoom or Telehealth software to deliver therapy effectively.

• Engage clients in meaningful discussions about their emotions, thoughts, and daily experiences, fostering an environment of self-exploration and personal growth.

• Assist clients in developing and achieving their personal and therapeutic goals through structured support and motivation.

• Perform thorough assessments of clients’ mental health conditions, deploying evidence-based methodologies to formulate and implement appropriate treatment plans.

• Maintain meticulous records of client interactions, progress notes, and treatment updates in compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and care continuity.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on low-acuity clients who are navigating various mental health challenges. You will provide support to individuals dealing with issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, and stress-related concerns. Your expertise will help guide them toward recovery and resilience through structured therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Counseling from an accredited institution.

• An active license to practice in New York State as an LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC is required.

• Exceptional ability to evaluate clients' needs and formulate effective treatment strategies tailored to each individual.

• Strong interpersonal skills and proficiency in utilizing technology to provide remote therapy sessions.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a mental health counseling role, particularly with outpatient clients, is highly preferred.

• Demonstrated capability in working independently while managing multiple clients effectively.

• Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems to document client care preferred.
