Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments tailored to older adults, recognizing their unique psychological, cognitive, and social needs.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that consider cognitive declines, physical health conditions, and social situations.

• Deliver evidence-based interventions through individual and family therapy sessions, particularly addressing conditions prevalent in geriatric populations.

• Collaborate seamlessly with geriatric psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals, fostering an integrated approach to patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on older adults grappling with a variety of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, and other geriatric psychiatric conditions. You will employ a trauma-informed and culturally competent approach to build trust and rapport with your clients and their families. Understanding the unique challenges faced by the elderly and employing a patient-centered methodology are crucial aspects of this role.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) within California.

• Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health therapy, particularly with older adult populations.

• Comprehensive knowledge of geriatric mental health disorders and effective evidence-based treatment modalities.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 120,000 to 130,000, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package.
