As a valued member of the school-based team, you will provide assessment, diagnosis, and individualized intervention to help students reach their full communicative potential. With a manageable 35-hour work week and a diverse caseload, you’ll have the chance to utilize your expertise in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications:

• Current and active NY Speech-Language Pathologist license (required)
• Prior experience delivering SLP services in a school setting preferred
• Familiarity with K–12 student populations and IEP processes
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, families, and students
• Ability to fulfill any district-mandated pre-placement requirements

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality speech, language, and communication therapy to students from kindergarten through twelfth grade
• Complete comprehensive assessments, maintain accurate documentation, and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student progress and adapt interventions to diverse needs
• Communicate progress with families and participate in school-based meetings as necessary
• Stay current with best practices and district/state guidelines for school-based speech therapy
