Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting culturally sensitive and strength-based assessments for new patients and families to understand their unique needs and challenges.
\n
• Providing individual therapy and family therapy tailored to the specific requirements identified during assessments, ensuring that care plans are both relevant and actionable.
\n
• Completing and maintaining accurate documentation, including billing, treatment plans, and insurance authorization forms, in a timely manner to facilitate smooth operational flow.
\n
• Developing comprehensive crisis plans, safety plans, relapse prevention strategies, and personalized wellness plans to support patient stability and promote overall mental wellness.
\n
• Creating discharge plans that include resources for ongoing support post-treatment, ensuring continuity of care.
\n
• Adhering to all federal and state regulations, as well as Serenity Peaks' policies and procedures, to ensure compliance and quality care.
\n
• Engaging in continuous professional development through training and education to expand your competencies and stay current with best practices.
\n
• Regularly participating in case consultations and agency meetings to enhance collaborative care approaches.
\n
• Completing all licensure and mandatory trainings required to provide high-quality services.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse client base, including children, adolescents, and adults facing a wide array of mental health challenges. You will engage with individuals who seek support for issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties, empowering them to build coping strategies, resilience, and emotional well-being.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field that leads to licensure.

• Current licensure as a Mental Health Therapist in the state of Texas (LPC, LMFT, LCSW).

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in a community health setting or outpatient clinic.
