Key Responsibilities Implement mindfulness-based interventions, including Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), to facilitate clients' relaxation, stress relief, and overall well-being. Conduct thorough assessments to identify and understand clients' unique stressors, mental health challenges, and personal goals, tailoring your approach accordingly. Guide clients through mindfulness exercises, meditation, and breathing techniques to enhance self-awareness and promote emotional regulation. Facilitate engaging virtual workshops that focus on mindfulness practices, stress management, and strategies for resilience-building. Integrate mindfulness approaches into individual therapy sessions, addressing specific mental health concerns while fostering personal growth. Collaborate with fellow therapists and healthcare providers to create a well-rounded and comprehensive treatment plan for clients. Maintain up-to-date documentation of client progress, mindfulness interventions, and individualized treatment plans in accordance with regulatory standards. Attend regular professional development sessions and engage in personal mindfulness practice to continually enhance your skills and therapeutic techniques. Patient Population / Client Focus Our clients range from individuals facing everyday stressors to those dealing with more complex mental health challenges. You will support a wide demographic, including adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. By employing mindfulness strategies, you'll help clients develop coping mechanisms that are essential for managing daily stresses and enhancing overall mental wellness. Qualifications A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field is required. Current licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of California is mandatory. A strong understanding of mindfulness techniques and the ability to incorporate these approaches into therapy sessions is essential. Excellent communication skills, enabling you to create a supportive and calming therapeutic environment for clients. Preferred Experience Prior experience in a community health setting, delivering mental health services is preferred. Extensive training in mindfulness-based practices, especially MBSR, while beneficial, is not a strict requirement but is highly regarded. Compensation and Benefits The Licensed Mental Health Counselor position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 104,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
