Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations through a detailed review of medical histories, performing specific assessments, and crafting individualized treatment plans based on findings.
• Clearly communicate evaluation results and treatment strategies to patients and their families, involving them actively in developing achievable goals.
• Implement tailored treatment protocols, taking into consideration the patient's progress and any changes in their health status.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians and other healthcare professionals, to optimize patient care and recovery.
• Document patient interactions and progress effectively, ensuring timely updates on evaluation forms, daily notes, interim summaries, and discharge evaluations, which are essential for continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate scheduling of appointments and adhere to productivity expectations to support overall department objectives.
• Participate in departmental meetings and community outreach efforts to promote service accessibility and improve overall patient experience.
• Engage in continuous learning and professional development and mentor students or less experienced colleagues as needed.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as accreditation standards, ensuring the highest quality of care practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Vitality Booster, you will work with diverse patient populations, including individuals recovering from surgery, managing chronic conditions, or seeking rehabilitation after injury. Your focus will be on customizing care strategies that address the unique needs, preferences, and goals of each patient, ensuring a comprehensive rehab experience tailored to their individual journeys.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Hold a valid state license in Physical Therapy specific to Virginia to practice legally.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association is required.
• Prior experience in a similar role is preferred, but new graduates who meet qualifications may also apply.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience in physical therapy practice is preferred, we are open to candidates who have had diverse clinical experiences. A strong background in home care is an advantage as it presents specific challenges and rewards in patient rehabilitation.

Compensation and Benefits
