Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Baystate Therapeutics, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Direct and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans to prevent disabilities, relieve pain, restore muscle function, and promote overall physical wellbeing.
• Supervise and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) during their therapy sessions, ensuring precise and effective execution of the care plans.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients' physical capabilities using a variety of muscle, nerve, and joint assessments to formulate accurate treatment objectives.
• Analyze and optimize the home environment for client rehabilitation, making informed recommendations that enhance patient independence.
• Execute manual therapeutic exercises and provide guidance on functional activities while encouraging patient engagement in their recovery journey.
• Utilize manual therapy modalities effectively while staying current with evidence-based practices that enhance therapeutic outcomes.
• Prepare and maintain thorough clinical documentation, including patient evaluations, progress notes, goals, and discharge summaries, adhering to OASIS standards and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) protocols.
• Contribute to interdisciplinary team discussions, case conferences, and patient care planning, promoting collaborative approaches to healthcare delivery.
• Consult with clients and their families on therapy devices, care plans, and overall rehabilitation programs.
• Perform ongoing assessments and make necessary adjustments to treatment strategies based on individual client responses and progress.
• Engage with community resources to optimize patient support and care opportunities.
• Complete all documentation and report submissions in a timely manner while complying with agency policies and procedures.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is mandatory, ensuring a high level of expertise in the medical field.
• A current, active Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia with no history of sanctions or board inquiries.
• A strong knowledge base of manual therapy techniques and modalities, coupled with the ability to develop and implement effective exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs.
• Proficiency with EMR systems such as Web PT for accurate and efficient documentation practices.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in outpatient rehabilitation settings, particularly within home healthcare environments.

Compensation and Benefits
