Outpatient Physical Therapist - Full-Time Opportunity in Chantilly, VA

Position Overview

The Feel Life Body Therapy & Home Care team is seeking a dedicated and passionate full-time Outpatient Physical Therapist to enhance our rehabilitation services at our facility located in Chantilly, Virginia. In this pivotal role, you will work directly with patients to help them regain movement, improve their functional mobility, and ultimately enhance their quality of life.

Work Environment

The work setting for this role is onsite at our rehabilitation facility, which prides itself on creating a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for both patients and staff. Our typical work hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized patient care by assessing their unique needs, setting achievable rehabilitation goals, and developing tailored treatment plans.
• Manage a balanced patient load to ensure each individual receives comprehensive attention, allowing for effective communication and support throughout their recovery.
• Utilize expertise in orthopedic outpatient care to perform hands-on therapy, including manual techniques and therapeutic exercises.
• Employ cost-effective treatment strategies focusing on non-surgical alternatives and reducing reliance on medication.
• Construct evidence-based care plans that integrate various treatment methodologies to facilitate optimal recovery.
• Encourage a proactive approach to wellness by designing personalized fitness programs aligned with patients' goals.
• Motivate and support patients as they navigate their rehabilitation journey, fostering a positive and uplifting atmosphere.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, occupational therapists, and other specialists, to create a cohesive approach to patient care.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, using electronic medical records (EMR) software such as Web PT for accuracy and efficiency.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work closely with a varied patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, sports injuries, chronic pain, and mobility challenges. Your role is central to improving their physical capabilities and overall well-being, addressing both their physical and emotional needs.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• An active and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia, with a clean record free of sanctions or board proceedings.
• Exceptional manual therapy skills with a demonstrated ability to adapt techniques to each patient's requirements.
• Proficiency in developing and implementing effective therapeutic exercise programs tailored to individual goals.
• Experience with EMR systems, particularly Web PT, to ensure accurate patient documentation and record-keeping.
• A strong understanding of current physical therapy practices, with an emphasis on evidence-based methodologies.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an outpatient setting is highly preferred.
• A background in sports medicine or specialized rehabilitation will be an advantage.
• Experience working with diverse patient populations across various age groups and conditions.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary in the range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
