Work Environment

You will be working onsite in our outpatient clinic, providing you with direct access to patients and facilitating hands-on physical therapy. Our facility is designed to promote recovery, featuring modern equipment and a welcoming space for rehabilitation exercises. The work schedule is set from Monday to Friday, with shifts from either 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, allowing for a balanced professional lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to determine their physical therapy needs and develop tailored care plans that align with each individual's health goals.
• Administer treatments and therapeutic exercises to optimize patient recovery, utilizing evidence-based techniques to enhance mobility.
• Maintain a manageable caseload to provide focused attention to each patient, ensuring high standards of care and nurturing patient relationships.
• Employ effective manual therapy techniques and therapeutic modalities to alleviate pain and improve function.
• Educate patients on their conditions, treatment plans, and strategies for ongoing improvement, promoting adherence to therapy and encouraging lifestyle changes.
• Regularly assess patient progress and adjust therapy plans as required to ensure maximum effectiveness in treatment outcomes.
• Document all patient interactions and treatments accurately using EMR software, particularly WebPT, for compliance and continuity of care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation specialists to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in physical therapy practices to incorporate innovative techniques into treatment.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current and valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia, with no sanctions or disciplinary actions.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and evidence-based practices related to orthopedic outpatient care.
• Ability to develop and implement tailored exercise programs that meet the varying needs of patients.
• Experience using EMR software, particularly WebPT, for effective patient documentation.
• Current knowledge of the latest physical therapy methodologies and commitment to ongoing professional development.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an outpatient clinic setting is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team to improve patient outcomes.
• Experience with sports medicine and rehabilitative practices will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
