Key Responsibilities

• Develop personalized treatment plans by conducting thorough evaluations that adhere to each patient's orthopedic condition.
• Direct and oversee the implementation of treatment strategies aimed at improving mobility, alleviating pain, and enhancing the patient's functional capacities.
• Conduct functional assessments through diagnostic tests that measure muscle strength, flexibility, and overall functional abilities of clients.
• Incorporate therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and physical modalities to engage clients actively in the rehabilitation process.
• Collaboration with Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure each treatment plan is effectively followed.
• Continually monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans in coordination with the healthcare team to reflect any changes in a patient's condition.
• Educate patients regarding the rehabilitation process, including self-management techniques and the correct use of auxiliary devices.
• Participate in interdisciplinary case conferences to enhance the coordination and effectiveness of patient care.
• Maintain and submit clinical documentation, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, adhering to regulatory and organizational policy guidelines.
• Actively engage with clients and their families, providing guidance and support throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on orthopedic cases, encompassing a diverse patient population with various musculoskeletal disorders, post-surgical recovery needs, and sports-related injuries. The ideal candidate will show a strong commitment to enhancing patients' quality of life through tailored rehabilitation programs and education.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• A minimum of two years of relevant experience in an orthopedic setting.
• Current CPR certification.

Preferred Experience

Prior experience in a rehabilitation facility, familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, and proficiency in a variety of treatment modalities would be advantageous. Further certifications in orthopedic rehabilitation or advanced therapeutic techniques can enhance a candidate's profile.
