Work Environment\n

This role provides the flexibility of remote work paired with the collaborative spirit of an outpatient office. The majority of therapy sessions and consultations will be conducted via telehealth platforms, allowing therapists to connect with clients in a comfortable and accessible manner. While the core hours are set from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, some flexibility is encouraged to accommodate the scheduling needs of patients, ensuring that support is available when it is most needed.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to accurately identify patients' needs and develop individualized treatment strategies.

• Utilize diverse therapeutic methods, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, to deliver impactful interventions tailored to individuals, couples, and families.

• Facilitate psychoeducational workshops and support groups to create a community atmosphere and address prevalent mental health issues.

• Work in unison with psychiatrists, psychologists, and the extended health care team to ensure cohesive and well-rounded patient care.

• Respond to mental health crises by providing immediate intervention and support to clients in distress.

• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and resources within the local community to empower them in their journey to wellness.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential patient records in compliance with all legal and ethical standards to uphold our commitment to security and privacy.

• Engage actively in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development initiatives to enhance personal skill sets and organizational effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The client base at Progressive Counseling Center is diverse, encompassing individuals facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety disorders, mood disorders, trauma-related issues, and substance use disorders. Therapists will have the privilege of supporting clients from all walks of life, therefore requiring a culturally competent and empathetic approach to care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program.

• Licensed professional credentials such as LMFT, LPC, or LCSW are required for practice in Georgia.

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience serving a diverse patient population in a therapeutic setting.

• Strong foundational knowledge of various mental health disorders and demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Superb interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport and trust with patients and their families.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
