Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our outpatient office, ensuring a structured and supportive work environment where you can thrive professionally. The role operates primarily during weekdays from 9 am to 5 pm, offering you a balanced work-life schedule devoid of calls, nights, or weekends. Our team-oriented setting fosters collaboration among Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, physicians, and administrative personnel, creating a dynamic atmosphere that promotes shared learning and comprehensive patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an outpatient setting, collaborating with cardiologists to develop and implement treatment plans for individuals diagnosed with various cardiovascular conditions.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history-taking and physical examinations, to identify and diagnose health issues.
• Manage chronic conditions such as Hypertension and High Cholesterol through routine monitoring and appropriate interventions.
• Deliver specialized Electrophysiology services, evaluating patients presenting with abnormal electrocardiograms and arrhythmias.
• Oversee the care of patients suffering from acute conditions such as Coronary Artery Disease, Congestive Heart Failure, Peripheral Artery Disease, and Stroke, ensuring timely treatments and referrals.
• Administer or supervise Stress Testing procedures as needed, interpreting the results to support effective treatment decisions.
• Document patient interactions, treatment plans, and outcomes comprehensively in electronic health records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
• Educate patients and their families on disease management strategies, lifestyle modifications, and preventive care practices to enhance health literacy.
• Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure integrated and coordinated care across specialties.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Nurse Practitioner in this role will provide care primarily to adults suffering from a wide array of cardiac conditions, addressing both acute and chronic issues. Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required, along with completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• A Master's degree or Doctorate in Nursing Practice is preferred.
• Current and valid Nurse Practitioner license to practice in New York State.
• Certification from an appropriate governing body is mandatory, ensuring competence in clinical practice.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-based environment and excellent communication skills are essential.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in cardiology, whether in outpatient or inpatient settings, is highly valued.

Compensation and Benefits
