Work Environment

This role takes place within an assisted living facility where our environment facilitates collaborative healthcare delivery. The practitioner will operate primarily in outpatient settings, ensuring personalized attention to our residents' cardiovascular health needs without the demands of night shifts or weekends. Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a predictable work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

The Nurse Practitioner will be pivotal in delivering high-quality cardiovascular care through a variety of essential responsibilities, including:

• Collaborating closely with several cardiologists to ensure integrated patient care plans.
• Managing patients facing chronic conditions such as hypertension and high cholesterol effectively.
• Providing outpatient electrophysiology services, including evaluations of abnormal electrocardiograms and management of arrhythmias.
• Overseeing acute conditions such as Coronary Artery Disease, Peripheral Artery Disease, Congestive Heart Failure, and others.
• Conducting stress tests as warranted, ensuring thorough cardiovascular assessments.
• Receiving consultations and expert supervision from on-site cardiology specialists to enhance patient care standards.
• Performing comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations, enabling informed prescribing practices.
• Referring patients to additional specialists within our healthcare group as needed.
• Educating patients and their families to empower them in their health journey and medication management.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patient population primarily consists of residents in an assisted living facility who may require specialized cardiac care. Our approach emphasizes individualized care, addressing both acute and chronic conditions with cultural sensitivity and compassion. Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and a completed accredited Nurse Practitioner program applicable to the needs of our cardiovascular department.
• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing or a related field.
• Certification post-graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program relevant to the specialty.
• A current and valid Nurse Practitioner license.
• Completion of a certification exam relevant to the Nurse Practitioner role.

Preferred Experience
