About the Position

Vascular Surgeon

Assignment Details


• Location: Ohio


• Practice Setting: Inpatient/Hospital-Based


• Coverage: Ongoing part-time


• Reason for Coverage: Time off coverage for the employed vascular surgeon

Compensation: 24 Hour On Call - $2805 per 24 hours, Call Back - $525/hr.

Schedule


• Flexible start date


• Option 1: One week per month (Monday 7:00 AM-Monday 7:00 AM)


• Option 2: Two weekends per month (Friday 7:00 AM-Monday 7:00 AM)


• 24-hour call (7:00 AM-7:00 AM)


• No clinic responsibilities

Clinical Details


• Inpatient and Emergency Department consults


• Daily inpatient rounding required


• Urgent and emergent vascular surgery coverage only


• No elective procedures


• Infrequent callback to the hospital


• Adult patient population


• OR team support available


• Solo vascular surgery coverage during the employed surgeon's absence

Requirements


• Board Certified in Vascular Surgery


• Active Ohio medical license


• Must be able to perform all procedures listed on the facility's vascular delineation


• Case logs from the past two years required at the time of presentation


• Local providers highly preferred

Credentialing


• Candidate presentation must include:


• State licensure


• Board certification status


• Malpractice insurance information


• Disclosure of any licensure actions


• Availability


• Travel requirements


• Rate expectations


• Employment termination history (if applicable)


• Reason for performing locum tenens work


• Prior locum tenens experience


• Reason for leaving most recent position


• Explanation of any employment gaps of two months or longer within the last 10 years (or since completion of training)


• Case logs from the past two years

Additional Information


• Professional liability insurance must provide minimum limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $3,000,000 aggregate through an insurer rated B+ or better by A.M. Best.


• Lodging is provided for eligible providers living more than one hour from the facility when working consecutive days or completing shifts after 8:00 PM (lodging cap applies).
