Work Environment

The rehabilitation center operates in a vibrant, supportive environment where patient-centered care is our priority. You will be working onsite, providing direct therapeutic services to patients predominantly covered by private medical insurance. The facility is well-equipped, boasting the latest technology and resources to facilitate effective treatment strategies. Our structured work schedule runs Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs by conducting thorough evaluations to identify their physical therapy objectives and requirements.
• Manage a reasonable caseload, typically facilitating treatment for one patient per hour to provide dedicated care.
• Develop, implement, and adjust comprehensive care plans utilizing diverse therapeutic techniques tailored to individual patient needs.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques and exercise regimens to enhance patients' mobility and overall well-being.
• Employ evidence-based practices and proven interventions to achieve quality outcomes in functional rehabilitation.
• Motivate and educate patients throughout their treatment process, encouraging adherence to exercise protocols and lifestyle modifications.
• Document patient progress thoroughly, assessing treatment effectiveness and making necessary adjustments to care plans.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians and occupational therapists, to optimize patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic issues, sports injuries, and other physical challenges requiring rehabilitative therapy. Our patient population ranges from young athletes to older adults seeking to regain function, making each day varied and rewarding as you positively affect lives within the Niagara Falls community.

Qualifications

• Possess a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Hold a valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of New York.
• Maintain a clean professional record with no disciplinary actions or board actions against your PT license.
• Showcase proficiency in evidence-based practices and therapies.
• Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, essential for building rapport with patients and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting, demonstrating your capability in delivering top-tier physical therapy.
• Expertise in manual therapy techniques and the development of effective exercise regimens.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, to streamline patient documentation and treatment tracking.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation package for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
