Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Emergency Department License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS Must-Have: - ER experience is required - Experience in ER Holding or Medical/Surgical/Telemetry is necessary Description: The role involves providing high-quality care in a fast-paced emergency department environment. Registered Nurses will be responsible for assessing patient needs and implementing care plans. Candidates must have experience in managing acute health conditions in diverse patient populations, including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Proficiency in cardiac telemetry and critical care interventions is needed. Candidates should be familiar with procedures such as blood product administration, central line care, and managing ventilated patients. Skills in IV insertion, phlebotomy, and tracheostomy care are essential. The ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team is important. Candidates should possess strong assessment and critical thinking skills. Effective communication with patients, families, and medical team members is required. Flexibility to adapt to the dynamic nature of the emergency department is necessary. This position is urgent and requires compliance with credentialing processes. References will be required from previous employers. There will be strict adherence to protocol for onboarding and credentialing. Candidates must be proactive in completing necessary requirements soon after being selected. Previous charge experience in nursing is preferred. An understanding of rapid response and code teams is valuable.
