Work Environment

Located within our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center in Richmond, Virginia, you will work in a dynamic and supportive onsite environment. The working hours are structured Monday to Friday, accommodating a full 40-hour workweek. Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Upstream, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients referred by physicians to determine individualized treatment plans.
• Implementing and adjusting therapeutic programs that address a broad spectrum of specialties including orthopedic, pediatric, neurological, and sports medicine conditions.
• Providing exceptional customer service as an integral part of the rehabilitation process and enhancing patient satisfaction.
• Collaborating with our multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes through evidence-based practices.
• Dedicating time to educate and train patients and their caregivers, ensuring understanding and adherence to rehabilitation protocols.
• Tracking and utilizing treatment results to meet minimum utilization goals and contribute to the overall performance of the practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your expertise will cater to a diverse patient population, encompassing various age groups and specifically targeting individuals recovering from musculoskeletal injuries, neurological impairments, sports-related conditions, and pediatric challenges. Building rapport and fostering trust with each patient will be crucial in helping them achieve their functional goals. Your role directly impacts patients' quality of life, providing the tools they need to regain their independence and mobility.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, we require:

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA or CAPTE accredited program.
• Current state licensure in Physical Therapy.
• Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Proficiency in word processing and electronic records as necessary for documentation and communication.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
