Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute individualized treatment plans that focus on pain relief, restoration of function, and overall physical wellness, tailored to each patient's goals and abilities.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' functional abilities and limitations through diagnostic testing techniques, providing critical insights for treatment planning.
• Oversee and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants in the implementation of therapy services, ensuring that established treatment plans are followed closely and effectively.
• Utilize advanced therapeutic modalities, including manual therapy techniques, exercise prescription, and modalities such as ultrasound or electrical stimulation, to enhance recovery.
• Regularly evaluate patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize rehabilitation outcomes and ensure maximum effectiveness of interventions.
• Maintain detailed clinical documentation including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, using electronic medical record (EMR) systems to support seamless communication within the care team.
• Engage with patients and their families, providing education on condition management, home exercises, and the proper use of assistive devices to foster independence.
• Conduct home evaluations to recommend modifications that enhance client safety and mobility in their living environment.
• Collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare providers, participating in interdisciplinary team meetings, presenting case studies, and discussing patient outcomes to refine therapy strategies.
• Stay current with industry developments by participating in professional workshops and continuous education opportunities pertinent to physical therapy practice.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a Bachelor's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
