Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team at Gentle Care Physical Therapy Services in Richmond, Virginia. This is a full-time, onsite role focused on delivering exceptional care to patients within their homes. Work Environment

This role is conducted primarily in a home care setting, where you will provide personalized therapy directly in the patients' residences. Working full-time from Monday to Friday, with flexible hours from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, you will have the opportunity to connect closely with patients in their familiar environments. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians, assessing their physical capabilities and specific needs.
• Design individualized treatment plans that incorporate a variety of therapeutic modalities and interventions.
• Implement and adjust treatment strategies based on evidence-based practices, ensuring continuous improvement in patient care.
• Use specialized tools and techniques to measure patient progress and adapt interventions accordingly.
• Educate patients and their families on home exercises and recovery techniques to encourage self-management.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment outcomes in our electronic health record system to ensure compliance and effective communication.
• Engage in regular team meetings to discuss patient progress and contribute to a supportive team environment focused on excellence in care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position will primarily focus on orthopedic rehabilitation, with opportunities to treat a diverse range of patients, including pediatrics, neurologic, and sports medicine cases. Your expertise will help patients regain their functional independence and improve their quality of life through tailored therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) with a valid physical therapy license for the state of Virginia.
• At least two years of relevant clinical experience, demonstrating proficiency in orthopedic physical therapy.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and caregivers.
• Strong organizational skills with proficiency in electronic documentation and word processing software.
• A genuine ability to build rapport and maintain relationships with patients, fostering a positive therapeutic environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience using evidence-based treatment methodologies to track and enhance patient outcomes.
• Familiarity with various physical therapy evaluation and treatment techniques.
• Involvement in community outreach programs to promote physical health and wellness.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000 per year, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
