Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients focusing on mobility, strength enhancement, and pain alleviation, aimed at maximizing patient capabilities.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations using advanced diagnostic and prognostic tests to assess muscle, nerve, joint, and functional abilities.
• Guide Physical Therapy Assistants in executing treatment plans effectively while ensuring compliance with established care protocols.
• Instruct patients in therapeutic exercises, assist with their rehabilitation progress, and motivate them to adhere to their physical therapy programs.
• Administer manual therapy techniques, traction, and other treatment modalities as directed by the physician.
• Evaluate the patient's home environment to provide recommendations that support independence and enhance recovery.
• Document patient progress accurately, including OASIS, clinical records, and progress notes, ensuring timely submission for review.
• Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care plans and adjust strategies as needed for optimal outcomes.
• Provide education to patients and their families regarding treatment plans, equipment usage, and self-care strategies.
• Participate in the ongoing review and enhancement of care plans while assessing the utilization of community resources for additional support.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our Physical Therapist will work closely with a diverse range of patients including post-surgical rehabilitation cases, chronic pain management, and individuals recovering from sports injuries. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia, with a minimum of one year of relevant clinical experience in physical therapy.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance to facilitate travel for home evaluations as needed.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and their families.

Compensation and Benefits
