Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical health, functional limitations, and rehabilitation goals, adjusting plans as needed in collaboration with referring physicians.
• Implement treatment programs for a variety of orthopedic cases, employing advanced modalities such as manual therapy and therapeutic exercises, always aligned with current clinical guidelines.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure an overall positive patient experience during therapy sessions.
• Engage in continuous professional development by attending workshops and training to update skills and knowledge regularly, thereby enhancing patient care.
• Educate and empower patients and their families regarding therapy practices, home exercise routines, and wellness strategies tailored to individual recovery timelines.
• Monitor and track patient progress to meet utilization goals, adjusting interventions as necessary to maximize clinical outcomes.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to drive improvements in treatment efficacy, contributing to a better overall patient experience.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Pro - Ace Recovery Center will predominantly work with patients recovering from orthopedic injuries and surgeries, including those undergoing rehabilitation post-fractures, joint replacements, and sports-related injuries. You will also encounter pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine patients, offering a unique chance to deepen your expertise across various patient demographics and conditions.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license in Physical Therapy for Virginia.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities to facilitate interactions with patients, families, and team members.
• Proficiency in utilizing computer systems for documentation and treatment planning.
• Ability to build strong, empathetic relationships with each patient, inspiring them to achieve their functional goals.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience in an outpatient rehabilitation setting, showcasing a depth of understanding in orthopedic conditions.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices and the latest rehabilitation trends to ensure delivery of optimal patient care.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Compensation and Benefits
