Family First Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate full-time Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) to join our dynamic outpatient orthopedic team in Richmond, Virginia. Work Environment

The Physical Therapist will work onsite in our outpatient office located in Richmond, Virginia. This full-time position requires availability Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM. Our modern practice boasts contemporary treatment areas and therapeutic equipment designed to facilitate patient recovery and rehabilitation, creating an enthusiastic work culture aimed at professional development and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to determine their treatment needs and establish personalized care plans.
• Deliver direct patient care, managing a caseload of one patient per hour to ensure focused and effective therapy sessions.
• Utilize various manual therapy techniques and exercise protocols to assist in enhancing patients' mobility and strength.
• Incorporate evidence-based treatments into care strategies while reducing reliance on medications and exploring alternatives to surgical options.
• Design and implement tailored health and wellness programs that align with the specific goals and requirements of each patient.
• Motivate and encourage patients throughout their rehabilitation process to optimize their physical functioning and recovery.
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on outcomes and feedback.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient care services and treatment plans in compliance with practice standards and regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role is to serve individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions affecting mobility. Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is required.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia is essential.
• A clean professional record with no history of board or disciplinary actions against your license.
• Strong knowledge and proficiency in manual therapy techniques and exercise program development.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Physical Therapist in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a varied patient caseload while delivering individualized care.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
