Work Environment

This position is based onsite in Mechanicsville, Virginia. You will work within a collaborative environment alongside two experienced physical therapists and one Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). Our standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life routine while focusing on patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical abilities, needs, and goals to create individualized treatment plans.
• Manage caseload effectively by seeing 2-3 patients per hour, ensuring personalized attention and quality of care.
• Utilize a variety of treatment techniques to develop evidence-based care plans aimed at improving motion and mobility.
• Implement cost-effective treatment strategies that serve as alternatives to medication and surgery, enhancing patient recovery.
• Design and deliver fitness and wellness programs tailored to each patient's unique requirements and rehabilitation goals.
• Motivate and support patients throughout their treatment process, fostering a positive environment for rehabilitation.
• Monitor patient progress continuously and communicate findings with both patients and other healthcare professionals involved in their care.
• Maintain thorough documentation of patient care services in compliance with all regulatory standards and organizational policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will mainly work with patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions. Your expertise will be crucial in assisting patients at various stages of their rehabilitation, promoting their independence, and improving their functionality and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia with no board or disciplinary actions against it.
• Strong manual therapy and exercise rehabilitation skills are essential.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, is preferred.

Preferred Experience

A minimum of two years of experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable. Candidates with a proven track record of implementing successful treatment interventions and demonstrating effective patient engagement will be given preference.

Compensation and Benefits
