Our state-of-the-art clinic spans 5000 square feet and is designed with the latest technology to support effective sports medicine treatments and rehabilitation practices. As part of our team, you will work alongside a collaborative group of fellow professionals, including two physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant, all committed to providing superior patient care.

Work Environment

The work environment at Amarante Orthopedic Clinic is dynamic, patient-centered, and collaborative. The facility is structured to deliver efficient care to patients with a diverse range of orthopedic needs, primarily those with private medical insurance. Operating onsite from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, you will manage a patient load of one individual per hour, enabling you to provide focused, personalized care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess patients' physical abilities and needs, devising personalized care plans tailored to each individual's goals.
• Implement and monitor effective treatment interventions based on established clinical guidelines and evidence-based practices.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques and develop exercise routines that enhance mobility, strength, and overall physical function.
• Educate patients on injury prevention, rehabilitation strategies, and lifestyle modifications to promote long-term health and wellness.
• Document treatment progress regularly in our EMR system, ensuring clear communication with both the patient and other members of the healthcare team.
• Assess treatment outcomes continually and adjust care plans as necessary to optimize recovery and physical performance.
• Engage actively in team meetings to discuss patient cases and collaborate on strategies for improving care delivery.
• Encourage a positive environment by motivating patients during their rehabilitation sessions and highlighting their progress.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary patient population at Amarante Orthopedic Clinic consists of individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries or surgeries, including sports-related injuries. Our clients often seek outpatient rehabilitation services supported by private medical insurance, requiring a compassionate and effective approach to their treatment. Your role will be pivotal in fostering a supportive atmosphere where patients feel empowered to achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• Active licensure as a Physical Therapist in Virginia with no disciplinary actions on record.
• Strong foundational knowledge of orthopedic conditions and physical rehabilitation practices.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and experience in developing effective exercise plans.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT, is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience as a Physical Therapist in an outpatient orthopedic setting is highly preferred.
• Experience in treating sports injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, and functional movement training will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this role ranges from USD 90,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
