Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients, including reviewing medical history and performing specialized assessments to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
• Effectively communicate evaluation findings and treatment plans to patients and their families, involving them in goal-setting processes to enhance engagement and motivation.
• Implement evidence-based treatment protocols tailored to individual patient presentations and continuously adapt treatment plans based on patient progress and response.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, recognizing patient condition changes that necessitate adjustments to care plans or referrals for specialized medical or rehabilitation consultations.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress updates, maintaining transparency and clarity in all patient care records.
• Engage in appropriate discharge planning and follow-up care to optimize recovery and maintain communication with patients after they leave the facility.
• Manage and prioritize time effectively to meet productivity metrics while ensuring high-quality patient care.
• Participate in marketing initiatives to promote community engagement and awareness of our services.
• Contribute to the achievement of departmental goals, supporting compliance with all regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
• Take initiative in pursuing continuing education opportunities and assist in the clinical training of students and less experienced staff.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our physical therapy team specializes in treating a diverse patient population. You will work with individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, managing chronic pain conditions, sports injuries, and postural issues, among other challenges. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred but not mandatory.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia is required.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association.
• Demonstrated passion for patient care, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
