Work Environment

This full-time position is based onsite at our outpatient office in Richmond, a vibrant city known for its rich history and cultural offerings. The work schedule runs from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a work-life balance while engaging with our community. Our facility encompasses 5,000 square feet of specialized sports medicine space that promotes healing and rehabilitation in a supportive and motivating atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to identify patients' goals and develop personalized treatment plans aligned with their needs.
• Manage a dedicated caseload of one patient per hour, ensuring quality and individualized attention during each session.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to implement a variety of treatment modalities aimed at restoring movement, reducing pain, and improving functionality.
• Provide education about non-pharmacological treatment options to guide patients toward holistic recovery, thereby minimizing reliance on medications.
• Work cooperatively with healthcare professionals, including physicians and occupational therapists, to ensure seamless patient care.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly, maintaining detailed documentation of all treatments rendered using our WebPT EMR software.
• Encourage patients' engagement in their recovery by motivating them to follow exercise routines and adhere to their rehabilitation schedules.
• Incorporate wellness and fitness programs designed to enhance strength, flexibility, and overall physical health.
• Evaluate treatment outcomes regularly and communicate significant changes to the healthcare team.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice primarily serves patients covered by private medical insurance, dealing with a diverse range of orthopedic conditions such as sports injuries, post-surgical recovery, and chronic pain issues. Each therapist plays a crucial role in guiding patients toward optimal health outcomes, utilizing both hands-on treatment techniques and patient education to empower individuals on their road to recovery.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Possession of a valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia, with a clean professional record absent of disciplinary actions.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and experience in developing effective exercise protocols tailored to individual needs.
• Familiarity with WebPT EMR Software to streamline patient care and documentation processes.

Preferred Experience

• Previous work experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to build rapport with diverse patients and motivate them through challenging rehabilitation journeys.
• Knowledge of current trends in physical therapy treatment approaches and modalities that can improve patient outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, contingent upon experience and qualifications.
