Work Environment

The work setting is on-site at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility located in Richmond, Virginia. You will be part of a collaborative healthcare team consisting of skilled professionals, including occupational therapists, speech therapists, and rehabilitation assistants. Your work schedule will be Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced approach to professional responsibilities and personal life.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical conditions and develop customized treatment plans that align with their individual goals.
• Provide high-quality manual therapy and therapeutic exercise programs focused on alleviating pain and improving mobility.
• Guide patients through their rehabilitation journey by employing evidence-based practices that promote effective recovery.
• Educate patients on the importance of physical therapy, focusing on non-surgical alternatives to promote optimal health and minimize dependence on medications.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care, sharing insights and strategies that enhance treatments.
• Continuously monitor and document patient progress, adjusting therapeutic interventions when necessary to achieve the best outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on an array of outpatient clients, including athletes recovering from sports injuries, individuals rehabilitating post-surgery, and those managing chronic pain conditions. You will work closely with each patient, understanding their specific needs and challenges, providing support, motivation, and expertise as they navigate their recovery.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• An active Physical Therapist license in Virginia with no history of sanctions or board actions.
• Strong foundation in orthopedic outpatient care supported by relevant experience in the field.
• Ability to utilize electronic medical records (EMR) software, such as Web PT, efficiently for accurate record-keeping.

Preferred Experience

• Proficiency in various manual therapy techniques and exercise therapy programs.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with patients and colleagues.
• A deep understanding of current physical therapy methodologies, supported by recent research and advancements in the field.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 per year, reflective of experience and qualifications.
