Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations, including reviewing relevant medical histories, performing physical assessments, and documenting results with precision.

• Communicate evaluation findings and treatment plans clearly to patients and their families, involving them actively in goal-setting to ensure a transparent and collaborative care experience.

• Implement and adapt treatment protocols based on individual patient evaluations, demonstrating proficiency in various therapeutic techniques and approaches.

• Engage with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, consulting specialists when necessary, and promptly documenting any changes in patients' conditions that may require modifications to therapeutic plans.

• Oversee discharge planning, ensuring that patients have a clear understanding of follow-up care and documentation is accurate and completed in a timely manner.

• Maintain productivity standards by managing your schedule effectively and being punctual for meetings and patient appointments.

• Contribute to departmental goals by participating in performance improvement initiatives and complying with all regulations.

• Pursue ongoing education to enhance your professional competency and take on mentorship roles by supervising interns or students in clinical practicums.

• Promote an exceptional patient experience by remaining adaptable and responsive to the needs of our clientele.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population is diverse, ranging from athletes recovering from sports injuries to the elderly seeking rehabilitation after surgery or managing chronic conditions. This role involves working closely with patients who have musculoskeletal issues, neurological conditions, and orthopedic injuries, requiring a tailored approach to care and rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.

• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.

• Current American Heart Association's BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR certification.

• No prior work experience required; however, a commitment to continuing education and professional growth is highly valued.

Preferred Experience

While prior experience is not mandatory, familiarity with outpatient orthopedic settings, knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems, and an enthusiasm for working with a diverse patient demographic will be advantageous.
