Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist at Allison Physical Therapy, you will engage with clients in their home environments, creating personalized treatment plans that cater to their specific needs. Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at alleviating pain, restoring mobility, and enhancing patients' overall function. Actively prevent disabilities and promote independence for clients.
• Evaluate clients' physical abilities by employing diagnostic tests and functional assessments, utilizing evidence-based tools and techniques to inform your treatment approaches.
• Oversee and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants during therapy sessions, ensuring adherence to care plans and providing ongoing guidance regarding patient management.
• Assess home environments and recommend modifications or assistive devices that facilitate rehabilitation and enhance clients' independence in daily activities.
• Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and treatments using physical agents, all tailored to meet the unique needs of the patient.
• Document clinical encounters meticulously, including initial evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, contributing to comprehensive client records in accordance with agency protocols and healthcare regulations.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing insights from your assessments and therapy sessions to shape holistic care strategies for clients.
• Communicate effectively with clients and their families to educate them on therapy techniques, use of equipment, and the rationale behind their personalized care plans.
• Adhere to timelines for submitting therapy documentation, orders, and clinical records in alignment with organizational policies.
• Adapt to changing patient conditions by revisiting care plans, making necessary adjustments in collaboration with physicians and case managers.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and training to remain aligned with advancements in orthopedic care and therapy methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position focuses on a diverse population of orthopedic patients, including individuals recovering from surgery, managing chronic pain, or dealing with mobility impairments due to injury or degenerative conditions. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.

• A minimum of two years of experience in an orthopedic or related recovery setting, demonstrating a solid foundation in patient care.
• Current CPR certification to ensure preparedness for emergencies.
