Position Overview

Weill Cornell Psychological Center is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our growing clinical team. Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, you will play an integral role in our clinical services. Your responsibilities include:

• Conducting initial assessments and developing personalized treatment plans for clients and families.
• Providing both couple and family therapy sessions, as well as individual therapy for family members.
• Addressing a broad range of issues, including but not limited to: alcohol abuse, trauma from physical or psychological abuse, grief and loss, family conflicts, job stress, blended family dynamics, and communication difficulties.
• Applying evidence-based therapeutic techniques to promote healing and foster improved communication within families.
• Documenting progress and outcomes in line with organizational standards to ensure quality of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our therapists work with a diverse client base, including adults, children, and adolescents. You will engage with individuals experiencing various life challenges, from relationship issues to transitional life phases such as separation, divorce, and remarriage. Your compassionate approach will be key in helping clients navigate their difficulties and enhancing their emotional resilience.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
• Current and active state licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine commitment to supporting mental health and well-being.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a clinical setting, particularly in community health or outpatient therapy.
• Familiarity with telehealth practices and platforms.
• Experience working with diverse populations and offering culturally competent care.
