Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary assessments and document client cases from the initial intake through the completion of treatment, ensuring detailed and accurate records.

• Evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health, using evidence-based practices to identify individual needs and challenges.
\n
• Develop tailored intervention and recovery plans for a variety of client demographics, including individuals, couples, families, and groups, to address specific mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and trauma.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing therapeutic modalities that align with clients’ unique situations and preferences.
\n
• Continuously monitor client progress throughout their treatment journey, adjusting strategies as necessary to promote recovery and wellbeing.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health specialists, medical doctors, nurses, and social workers to coordinate comprehensive care plans for clients.
\n
• Maintain communication with psychiatrists and attending physicians concerning clients who have been hospitalized, ensuring continuity of care.
\n
• Identify and devise strategies to mitigate behaviors that compromise recovery, enabling clients to achieve their mental health goals.

• Support family members and primary caregivers in managing associated mental health challenges, providing education and resources as needed.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Trinity, you will work with individuals navigating issues such as grief, relationship conflicts, substance use disorders, and other mental health conditions. Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in Oregon.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Exam (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, for effective documentation and case management.
\n
• Strong understanding of various mental health conditions and their treatment methodologies.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, along with a compassionate, people-focused attitude.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience as a mental health counselor, specifically in a community health or clinic setting.

• Familiarity with the best practices and guidelines set by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Working knowledge of the medications prescribed for mental health issues, as well as an understanding of their potential effects and interactions.

• Experience working with clients dealing with addiction and co-occurring disorders.

Compensation and Benefits\n
