Senior Enterprise Account Executive, Tableau (Higher Education)

About the Role As an Enterprise Account Executive for Tableau within the Salesforce ecosystem, you will engage with existing and prospective clients in the Higher Education market, driving adoption of Tableau’s analytics platform and ensuring customer success. You’ll build trusted relationships with key stakeholders, including C‑suite decision makers, and collaborate with cross‑functional Salesforce teams to deliver value through data‑driven insights. Responsibilities Develop key customer stakeholder relationships and drive satisfaction at assigned accounts. Assist in creating and executing strategic long‑term account plans aligned to customer business objectives. Coordinate internal resources—product support, customer success, sales engineering—to meet customer needs. Collaborate with other Salesforce AE resources to ensure strategic alignment. Manage complex sales cycles, presenting Tableau’s value proposition to C‑level executives. Define and execute territory/account sales plans, meeting and exceeding quotas through prospecting, qualifying, and closing opportunities. Develop and manage sales pipeline, simultaneously moving multiple transactions through the pipeline. Qualifications 10+ years of quota‑carrying software or technology sales and account management experience, ideally on large enterprise accounts. Experience working in a matrixed team environment with cross‑functional partners (AE, solution engineers, sales leaders, executives). Highly driven, with a strong sense of urgency and belief in Tableau’s mission. Business curiosity and technical ability to address customer data challenges and earn trust. Solution‑selling mindset: develop plans, articulate value, and navigate customer complexities to drive revenue. Degree or equivalent relevant experience; education evaluated on core competencies. Preferred Qualifications Experience selling in the software industry or technical SaaS sales. Background with analytics, data, databases, predictive modeling, or business intelligence. Benefits Competitive base salary range: $123,200 - $214,400 annually (excludes bonus, equity, benefits).
