Key Responsibilities Provide therapeutic services through secure telehealth platforms by conducting both individual and group therapy sessions. Perform comprehensive intakes and assessments to understand each client's unique circumstances and mental health challenges. Maintain accurate, confidential client records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring data protection and privacy. Collaborate actively with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, social workers, and support staff to develop holistic treatment plans that align with the personal goals of clients. Utilize evidence-based practices to help clients manage symptoms related to anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health disorders. Engage in ongoing professional development activities to stay current with best practices in mental health counseling. Patient Population / Client Focus You will work with a diverse range of clients who may be experiencing various mental health issues, including anxiety disorders, depression, mood disorders, trauma, and life adjustment issues. Our population includes children, adolescents, and adults, each with unique needs and backgrounds. Your ability to adapt your approaches and interventions will significantly impact their recovery journey and overall mental health. Qualifications Must hold a valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) license in New York State. A Bachelor’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field is required, with advanced education preferred. Demonstrated ability to provide therapeutic support and intervention to clients with varying mental health challenges. Strong telehealth communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage clients in a virtual setting. Preferred Experience A minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical mental health setting is preferred, with a focus on providing direct client therapy. Experience utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems is an advantage. Background in trauma-informed care or specialized treatment methodologies such as CBT or DBT is appreciated. Compensation and Benefits The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $95,000, commensurate with experience.
