Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, allowing you the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own space while connecting with clients through our telehealth platform. Our practice prioritizes a collaborative and supportive atmosphere, enabling therapists to engage with peers and multidisciplinary professionals to enhance patient care. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required to accommodate client needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and comprehensive mental health assessments to identify the specific needs of each patient and develop personalized treatment plans accordingly.

• Utilize a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy, to deliver effective intervention for individuals, couples, and families.

• Facilitate psychoeducational groups and support sessions to empower clients and foster a sense of community among participants dealing with similar challenges.
\n
• Engage in collaboration with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to ensure a holistic and synchronized approach to each patient’s care.

• Provide crisis intervention services as needed, offering immediate support to clients during mental health emergencies.
\n
• Educate patients thoroughly about their mental health conditions, treatment options, coping strategies, and available community resources to promote informed decision-making.
\n
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of patient interactions in adherence to legal and ethical standards as well as organizational policies.

• Actively participate in case consultations, contribute to team meetings, and seek opportunities for ongoing professional development.

• Stay updated on current research, treatment modalities, and advancements in mental health therapy to enhance the quality of care provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a mental health counselor at Paragon Behavioral Health Center, you will work with a diverse clientele, including adults and adolescents experiencing a spectrum of mental health issues. Your role will involve understanding each individual's unique circumstances, backgrounds, and challenges which can include interpersonal difficulties, emotional distress, and disorders requiring specialized therapeutic approaches.

Qualifications\n

• A bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as either an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C in the state of Maryland.
\n
• In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders, therapeutic approaches, and best practices in evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Demonstrated experience in conducting mental health assessments and developing effective, individualized treatment plans.
\n
• Ability to provide therapy to diverse populations, employing both individual and group settings to reach various client needs.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, fostering trust and empathy in client relationships.
\n
• Strong ethical judgment and adherence to professional boundaries.
\n
• Competency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other related software applications.

• Ability to function effectively within a multidisciplinary team structure.

Preferred Experience\n

While a bachelor’s degree is the minimum educational requirement, a master's or doctoral degree is preferred. Experience in delivering telehealth services is highly desirable, as this role will primarily rely on virtual delivery methods. Familiarity with advanced treatment modalities and crisis intervention is also valued.

Compensation and Benefits\n
