At the Atascosa Trauma, Stress, and Anxiety Center, we are actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. Work Environment\n

This role is primarily remote, allowing flexibility in your work schedule while ensuring that you can deliver high-quality mental health services. The center operates from 7 AM to 10 PM, seven days a week, providing ample opportunity for you to manage your caseload effectively. Additionally, our telehealth model ensures that you can connect with clients in a comfortable environment, minimizing barriers to care while building lasting therapeutic relationships.

Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand patients’ histories and develop appropriate treatment modalities.

• Crafting and executing individualized treatment plans that address specific trauma recovery needs and emphasize resilience-building strategies.
\n
• Delivering evidence-based therapies, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions to assist clients in processing trauma, formulating coping strategies, and nurturing their healing journey.
\n
• Collaborating with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to provide integrated and comprehensive care for your patients.
\n
• Responding to crises and providing support for clients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educating clients and families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available support resources.
\n
• Maintaining meticulous and confidential documentation in alignment with legal and ethical guidelines.

• Participating in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development focusing on trauma-informed care.

• Staying informed of the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to continuously enhance your practice.

Your role will primarily involve working with individuals who are navigating the aftereffects of trauma, stress, and anxiety. Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• A valid licensure as an LMHC in the state of New York.
